How long have you been in business?
Thor Construction is 3 years in business, with 20+ years of experience behind it. One of the two owners runs every job, every day.
What work do you take on?
Septic installs and replacements, excavation and site work, landscaping and hardscaping, shoreline restoration, and full-structure demolition. One crew does all of it with our own machines.
Do you pump septic tanks or do small repairs?
No. We install and replace septic systems. If you only need a tank pumped or a baffle fixed, we will point you to someone who does that work.
Where do you work?
From our base in Bobcaygeon across Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, Haliburton, Simcoe, Muskoka, Northumberland, Durham and York. Not in Toronto or the core GTA. Find your town on the service areas page, or call and we will tell you straight.
Do you handle permits and locates?
Yes. We file the Ontario Dig Authority locate before every dig, and we prepare and file the permits the job needs: septic, entrance, demolition, conservation authority and Parks Canada.
How fast will I hear back?

Can you work through the winter?
Often, depending on frost depth and access. Frozen ground costs a bit more to dig, which is why fall is the time to get on the schedule.
